Learn to Take Phenomenal Photos with Basic Digital Photography

Learn to capture stunning images like these with Basic Digital Photography at Harper College. Also available this summer are private and partnered classes, tailored to your needs and scheduled at your convenience.

Basic Digital Photography (LEI 0039): Cover the basics of digital photography while you take the first step toward earning a photography badge. This action-packed class shows you how to create and care for interesting digital photos! You will learn elements of exposure control, photographing people, close-up, action and low-light photography. We will also spend time on the “how to” of sharing images and storing your photos. Bring your camera and gain the confidence you need to take great photos time and again. This course is one of four core courses in our Photography Badge Program and is offered in collaboration with Adventure Safari Network. Mondays, 7/17-7/31, 6:00-8:30 p.m.

The Continuing Education Photography program is designed to encourage hobbyists to capture the world around them in photos. With classes from beginner to advanced levels, you will learn to photograph the natural world, man-made world, and even the people around you. Now you also have the option to earn a Photography Digital Badge to document the mastery of photography that you develop by taking classes. All of our classes are taught by professional photographers who will share their many years of expertise with you. Click here for badge details.
