If you’re not formally trained as a teacher you may still qualify to teach in grades PK-12. Learn how to become a highly qualified substitute from the first day you enter the classroom. Gain the necessary skills including rapport building, classroom management, and teaching strategies. Attendees also learn how to apply for your Substitute Teacher Type 39 Certificate. In Illinois, substitute teachers are required to have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline but do not need teaching experience. Includes materials.
