October is Cybersecurity Month @ Harper College!

Ensure you have the tools and resources to stay safe and more secure online. Harper College offers you and your organization the opportunities to learn more about State of Cybersecurity and how to apply safe computing practices at home or the workplace.

Attend Harper’s FBI Overview event! This event is free and open to the public. The speaker is an FBI Special Agent specializing in National Security and a member of the Chicago FBI Field Office. An overview and update on the current threats and trends in cybersecurity and how companies and individuals can apply safe computing practices will be highlighted upon.

 FBI Overview: Cyber: Threats, Trends, and Strategies.
In the rapidly changing world of digital information, we are constantly bombarded with new threats to our cybersecurity. From malware, phishing, and other scams, our homes and businesses are constantly at risk of being part of the next data breech. Back by popular demand, Special Agent Bixby, from the Chicago FBI Field Office, will provide an update to the current threats and trends in cybersecurity with a goal of developing a better understanding of the threat landscape and how companies and individuals can better prepare themselves against the new cyber threats.

Cybersecurity Essentials

Harper’s Cybersecurity CyberSAFE™ Essentials course enables individuals and employees of any organization to identify many of the common risks associated with using conventional end-user technology, as well as how to safely protect themselves and their organizations from security risks. The course also prepares for the Certified CyberSAFE credential which is attained by completing a credential process following the course presentation.
