Welcome to the first in an intermittent series of play-along tunes offered to you in the spirit of Harper’s Back Porch Revue. That group was established to help foster the playing of music in homes across our district, which is, after all, the mission of the Community Music and Arts Center. The value of this in a time like the one in which we are currently locked is immense.
This video includes my son Aidan and me. Aidan became inspired to play the guitar as a 10 year-old because I hosted a jam session in my living room. He decided that it would be more fun to play in the jam than to watch, and another generation of musicians was born.
Whether you are using this video and chord sheet for your own enjoyment or for the enjoyment of family and friends, I hope that it helps you to spread a little more music through our community. You can get more information about the Community Music and Arts Center (a not-for -credit program at Harper College) at: https://harpercollegece.com/cmac
Meanwhile you are invited to play along and sing along with Nick Lowe’s (What’s So Funny ‘bout) Peace, Love and Understanding.
