Harmonica at Harper CE

“If you can breathe, you can play!” Lou Manzi

David Kachalon is our talented harmonica instructor, who teaches many harmonica styles, including: Pre War Chicago Blues, Post War Chicago Blues, Country Blues, solo techniques, Cajun, Klezmer, Old Timey and Jug band music. In addition to several years of teaching private students, he has given seminars and workshops across the country.

For four consecutive years, David has been honored with an invitation to teach at the SPAH (Society and Preservation for the Advancement of the Harmonica) Convention.

Due to the pandemic, the event was conducted online, which means you can watch all the presentations on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbJlie6bVGh8JhVCO-XLtsg/. Catch David’s presentation in the video below at: 1:25:26 – David Kachalon “Groove, Chugging, & Rhythm”
