A Day in Chicago – Can’t Miss Attractions

Summer is a great time to explore the outdoors and to enjoy the splendors of Chicago. Now that Illinois is beginning to open, get out there and make some memories.

  1. Chicago Botanic Garden

A beautiful setting with unlimited trails to walk through and gaze at the flowers, bushes, trees, and wildlife. The array of different landscaping provides ideas to do at home. Bring a book and read by the ponds. The indoor and outdoor restaurants serve an assortment of healthy and tasty food to satisfy everyone. The Center schedules different events every day, so your visits are never the same. A great way to unwind and relieve stress.

  1. Shedd Aquarium

Shedd Aquarium and The Art Institute of Chicago are two impressive educational trips that are fun and never get old with changing exhibits every year. Plan a day in Chicago visiting both attractions, and after, experience the many options of fine dining that the city has to offer.

Shedd Aquarium is always a favorite of mine to discover the wonders of the sea. The Beluga Whale, Penguin, and Caribbean Reef exhibits are wonderful. So much magnificence in all these creatures that we never see. The whales are so interactive with you, and the penguins are just fun to watch.

  1. The Art Institute of Chicago

The definition of Art: Art is a diverse range of human activities involving creative imagination to express technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas.

You will appreciate the diverse exhibits and displays of artists past and present at the Institute. I gained admiration for artists and discovered the unique interpretation of art very personal. The Impressionist section is interesting. Monet and Rembrandt are my favorite exhibits as their display of color are gorgeous.

  1. Gilt Bar Chicago

River North Contemporary American dining with vintage library décor. Bar and outdoor seating also available. Wonderful food, ambiance, and price point! Try the Truffle Fettuccine Alfredo, Sizzling Shrimp Scampi, or Maude’s Roasted Chicken – so good! Plan your visit by looking at the menu.

  1. Cubs Schedule

And of course, there is always a CUBS game at Wrigley Field!

Enjoy Your Summer!
